Crusader / Lady Crusader Track & Field
The mission of Crusader/Lady Crusader Track & Field is to collectively champion the cause of Christ on the track, in the classroom, at home, and in the community! This is accomplished through a balanced approach in training that focuses on spiritual, physical, and mental elements of sport. Godly character, class, discipline, technique, consistent improvement, and competitive greatness are high on our list of team values. These are also traits that will benefit students greatly in life.
Crusader/Lady Crusader Track & Field athletes compete and train with a multi-event approach that allows athletes to be well rounded in their skill sets. This also gives RRCA’s entire track program the most opportunity to be competitive at district, regional, and state levels. Crusader/Lady Crusader Track & Field is also vertically aligned. This allows athletes ranging from 5th- 12th grade to receive similar training that prepares them to reach their potential as they grow within the program.
March 30 Elgin Meet Results:
RRCA track teams continue competitive ways at Elgin
When asked to summarize his varsity boys and girls track teams, head coach Jeremy Wentrcek had this to say, “We are few….but we will not be intimidated, and we will not be out-worked!” And...he couldn’t be more on target. His boys and girls track teams came into the Elgin High School track meet with an aim to prove that they belonged. With a list of highly athletic track teams including Taylor, Elgin, Hutto, and Del Valle…this would be a tall order for the Crusaders. However, the RRCA tracksters would not be intimidated. The Crusaders and Lady Crusaders continued their habits of racking up personal best performances and establishing multiple placers.
The Crusaders and Lady Crusaders are on a fast track to the TAPPS district track meet on April 21 in San Antonio. With much at stake these last few weeks, Wentrcek had this to say…..”All season we have had to fight for everything we’ve earned. That’s why I love this team…..we will fight our way into the district meet and let the Lord determine the results.”
Please keep the Crusader and Lady Crusader track teams in your prayers as they represent the Lord, RRCA, and their families for the duration of this fine season.
